Cadol Cheung Managing Partner
 

Mr. Cadol Cheung joined CGP Techfund in 2014. As the Managing Partner of the fund, he is responsible for fund investment and portfolio management, and participates in fund raising and operation management. Notable investments include Semiconductor Manufacturing North China (Beijing), Epitop Optoelectronic, Silex Microsystems (Sweden), Starblaze Technology, Chipone Technology, mCube (USA), Amicro Semi, OnMicro, Artosyn Microelectronics, PNC Process Systems, Grand Hitek, SilTerra (Malaysia) , etc.  


In November 2009, Mr. Cadol Cheung founded FUEL Capital, a venture capital fund investing in fast-growing clean technology and healthcare technology of China. In 1983, Mr. Cadol Cheung joined Intel and had been responsible for management for 26 years. He had led various operating departments for 16 years, including production management, IT, market planning, customer service, business development, etc. He had been responsible for Intel's private equity investment activities in Asia for 10 years with approximately US$700 million in investments, of which US$480 million was in Greater China. These investments resulted in over 50 successful exits. Before joining Intel, Mr. Cadol Cheung was the Quality Control Supervisor for a local semiconductor manufacturer in Hong Kong. 


Mr. Cheung obtained his BEng from the Hong Kong Polytechnic University in 1982 and obtained an MBA from the Chinese University of Hong Kong in 1996. He became a member of Institute of Electrical Engineers (MIEE) in United Kingdom in 2002.  He has been a member of AAMA since 2009, and a coach in the Cradle Program of the Association since 2010.
